I must prevent this foolish expedition
they do not know what things we saw
We found cadavers of our companions
And what they discovered, long gone
To investage further we took a maddening flight

These stark, nightmare spires
marked the pylons of a forbidden gateway

As we entered the white, aeon-dead world
We saw wonders under a shifting opal sky
What had we discovered?
Marvel at the grandeur of it all

These unearthly formations of a long dead civilization,
and mosaic tablets brought a dreadful realisation

We sensed the presence of a wretched monstrosity
Somethings lurking in this tenebrosity
I heard the monotonous call of a formless entity
A lament in the darkness of former slavery

As we delved deeper into cavernous depths,
to unfold a story hitherto untold
A sense of excitement mingled with unease,
we heard a wailing that could have made blood freeze

These dark, nightmare caverns dwelt by strange aviaries
Yet something else is lurking in this void below

In a frenzied run from what should not be
We're leaving these stygian caverns far behind us
Our minds filled with a horrible knowledge
I'm almost frightened to see the sun again
